Rotorua 4×4 Self Drive Tour Options
Come with the Adventure Playground team on an amazing 4×4 self drive, off road tour. All of our Rotorua 4×4 self drive tours are headed up by one of our experienced guides in a guide vehicle, who will host you for the duration of your off road experience. You will love our new, nippy 2-seater 4×4 self drive vehicles! We start your ride with a full safety briefing, before giving you a spin around our training paddock to get used to your ‘wheels’ before we start exploring the beautiful Mount Ngongotaha countryside & native bush. We take you to various scenic lookouts during your tour so make sure you bring your camera to capture the moment. All safety gear is provided.

Our Rotorua 4×4 Self Drive Tours are a great option for family outings, birthday parties and corporate days out. All drivers must hold a valid driving license for a car (minimum NZ restricted license or a full overseas license). There will be opportunities for eligible drivers to swap seats during the tours. As always, we have a firm focus on fun & safety. No alcohol cannot be consumed prior to participating in our self-drive activities. All of our guides hold a current first aid certificate.

If you’re the kind of person that likes your off road activities in small bites, our 1/2 hour Rotorua 4×4 Self Drive tour is the perfect option. With plenty of opportunities to swap eligible drivers in our 2-seater 4×4 buggies, our 1/2 hour tour explores the lower, gentler slopes of mount Ngongotaha. Our tracks deliver a thrilling Rotorua off road experience and awesome views, leaving you enough time to maybe pick another activity to try …. or three! Self-drivers require a valid car license.

That’s an off road 4×4 Self Drive experience, an introduction to Clay Shooting and a more sedate Rotorua Horse Trek, experience.
