Our new Yamaha 4WD buggies seat up to 5 people and are a great family option for your NZ off road activity day at Adventure Playground. Enjoy a spectacular tour with our experienced guides and learn some of the history of our Spirit Mountain, Mount Ngongotaha. Our guides are passionate about the environment, Rotorua and Maori history, culture & legends associated with the mountain. Our off road experience takes you through lush NZ native bush showcasing our famous New Zealand Silver Ferns and a variety of native birds and animals. The highlight of the off road experience is the breathtaking views from our highest lookout, extending across Lake Rotorua, Mokoia Island and the city of Rotorua.

Learn the local Maori history of Rotorua’s sacred Spirit Mountain as well as enjoying the great views & surroundings. Our 30 minute off road tour is perfect for visitors who want to enjoy a great NZ off road experience with the family. Adults and children love our 4WD off road buggies as they carry you through NZ native bush on 100 year old logging & farm trails. Our buggies are child seat friendly so you can comfortably strap in your younger children, in their own seats! Suitable for ages 2 to 92!!

The full Spirit Mountain 4WD buggy tour. This is by far our most popular off road 4WD buggy tour. Suited for families with older children or just a big group of ‘children at heart’ adults. During our tour, you will learn the local Maori history of Rotorua’s sacred Spirit Mountain, Mount Ngongotaha. Enjoy native NZ bush, bustling with fauna, birds and animals. At our highest lookout, at 2000 feet above sea level, you can stop and take in the most spectacular, breathtaking views Rotorua has to offer.

After a safety briefing from a qualified instructor, you’ll experience expert 1 on 1 coaching, a lot of hit clays and a heap of fun and excitement. We have to warn you, our Rotorua Clay Bird Shooting experience is extremely addictive, but we’ve got you covered. Extra boxes of shells are available.
